About Us
At easyvet Magnolia, we are thrilled to be a part of The Villages, a vibrant community where pets are cherished members of the family. We understand how much your furry companions mean to you, especially for our retiree clients whose pets often provide companionship and joy. Our veterinarians are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care that meets the needs of our local pet owners and their beloved cats and dogs. As a proud veteran-owned practice, we bring the same dedication and service to our patients as we have to our country. We are passionate about supporting the health and happiness of pets in our community, offering a wide range of services to keep them thriving at every stage of life.

Dr. Susan Hughes
DVM
Dr. Susan Hughes hails from beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. She graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College, Prince Edward Island with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from Mount St. Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Hughes is passionate about providing the highest quality of medicine and surgery for her patients and is excited about breakthrough advancements especially in the area of antibody medicine.
Dr. Hughes is the mother of three daughters and has one granddaughter – so far! She is Dog Mom to Aoibhe (radiant beauty), Ruardhri (red king), and Oonagh (lamb). She is the proud owner of an AQHA horse named Star. Her hobbies include gardening, horseback riding, spending the day at the beach, SCUBA diving and watching the birds visit her bird feeders.
Dr. Amber Parker
DVM
Dr. Amber Parker has been practicing medicine for over 20 years, and looks forward to taking care of you and your pet. She has a strong interest in internal medicine and preventive care, and will work with you to help keep your furry family healthy and happy.
Dr. Parker is an artist who enjoys sculpting and ceramics, wildlife and underwater photography as well as jewelry making and drawing. When she is not working or playing, she is likely found tooling around the Villages in a golf cart with her husband, Steve, and their Labrador, Brit.
Dr. Anthea Joyner
DVM
Dr. Anthea Joyner is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Harding University, Searcy, AR, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University – CVM. After graduating, she moved to Orlando, Florida and held various associate veterinarian positions. She has resided in Clermont, Florida since 2003. Dr. Joyner enjoys that variety of cases she sees in general practice.
She has had many dogs (pitbulls) and cats over the years, all rescues, but currently resides with her senior cat Purrl, who relishes her position as Queen of the household. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, classic movies, trying new restaurants, target shooting, and spending time with her family.
